Remember Our Father

SUNDAY SCHOOL LESSONS

On this Father’s Day and every day, it is good to remember and give thanks to ‘our Father who art in heaven.’

Social media and family gatherings this day are filled with Dad stories. Many have fond memories of ‘Dad,’ Other people might wish their experiences were different.

Whichever way you experienced ‘Dad on earth,’ there is one thing we can count on with great gratitude, our God, ‘Father in heaven,’ is perfect, good, and true. He is constant and there for us in all ways.

“And we know that the Son of God is come and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.”—1 John 5:20

Praise, praise, praise. Can you imagine living without this assurance and His Love in a world where propaganda is promoted as truth and our news is peppered with lies?

He is our Father whose love is eternal and beyond what we can comprehend. He’s also just and merciful. How wonderful is He.

May we remember our Father who art in heaven in prayer and thanksgiving to Him on this Father’s Day and every day.

“And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples. And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. Give us day by day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive everyone that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.” –Luke 11:1-4, KJV.

A blessed Father’s Day to our Father who art in heaven and to all Dads out there who love, support, nurture, and love their children and their extended family the very best they know how.
