Dear Father,
We ask that you hold America in your hands to uplift her, protect her, and strengthen her.
Let us remain, one nation UNDER GOD.
May our connection with you never waiver and ever be fortified.
May our individual and collective moral compasses be re-aligned with you, our one holy, Lord, God Almighty.
Let us never forget that our victories and the freedoms we have enjoyed are because of You and those men and women who have fought, endured, and sacrificed life for them.
Please be with us as we face enemies within and outside of our nation.
We ask for your divine protection from those who want to divide us.
Help us not to be rendered vulnerable to those who would see us perish for their own greed and power.
So grateful are we that two hundred and forty-five years ago we declared our independence from British rule and established what would eventually become key foundational principles.
“We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed,”
We beseech thee, O’ Lord to fill the minds and hearts of our leaders with your light and lead them to seek the truth, know the truth and speak the truth.
Let them put You first.
Let us resurrect the practice that our government derives its “just powers from the consent of the governed.” And, as Lincoln said in the Gettysburg Address, “that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the Earth.”
Father, lead our youth to know you, worship you and serve you.
Teach them to know the real meaning of equality and freedom from your eyes and your laws.
Help them to understand that equal opportunity lies in the personal responsibility we assume for what we do with those “unalienable Rights”– with our life and our liberty and how we pursue happiness.
May we discern the truth from the propaganda and lies and know and learn from history.
Let us be not short-sighted and thus tempted by ideologies like Communism that appear to give us freedom, but in truth take it away.
Thank you for the beauty and bounty that is America.
We praise you for the richness of resources and its abundant supply, great minds, and serving hearts and hands.
With your help, may we re-align once more with the ideals and principles of our Constitution and return us to sanity.
May we give great thanksgiving for America’s goodness.
Let us envision the greatness of America growing stronger and stronger each day.
Thank you that we are yours and that you have America and the whole world in your hands, praise God!
May each firecracker released in the night skies be your light and goodness spreading over our nation and the nations of the world.
Let us give great praise and glory to you that YOUR “reset” is unfolding perfectly.
